Example: Sorry Baby by Eva Victor

The film Sorry, Baby (2025), written, directed by and starring Eva Victor, follows Agnes, a reclusive literature professor who tries to move forward in life after a traumatic assault, as depicted across non-chronological chapters and with a quietly deadpan tone. With its blend of humor and trauma, the film has resonated with many viewers for its subtle and empathetic approach to healing.

HERE ARE MY TOP 4:

LA LA LAND (2016) ★★★★★
I love La La Land because it speaks to the beauty and pain of chasing dreams. It is a celebration of creativity, love, and the bittersweet nature of ambition. This film reminds me of the sacrifices behind every passion and the love people can have for one another.
ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND (2004) ★★★★★
A film about memory, love, and loss, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind resonates with me because of its surreal yet intimate exploration of relationships. Its fragmented structure mirrors how we process heartbreak and healing. This movie changed my life after my first time watching it. Through Letterboxd, I have been able to revisit my thoughts about it over time, realizing how the movie evolves with me.
THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) ★★★★★
The Dark Knight has to be my favorite super-hero/comic book inspired movie. Its moral complexity, intense performances, and psychological tension reveal the darker layers of heroism and chaos.
INCEPTION (2010) ★★★★★
Christopher Nolans Inception fascinates me because of its immersive storytelling and visual symbolism. It challenges the viewer to question the nature of reality and perception. With such a complex narrative, I used Letterboxd to explore the films themes and its ability to balance spectacle with philosophical depth.
