1. Getting-To-Know-Url

I created a multi-page website with a consistent navigation interface as a way of introducing myself to the rest of the class. I learned how to organize the page so that there is only one webpage for the prompts, including my name, ASCII logo, background, designer that inspired my work, non-designed object that I admire, and everyday design object that most people use on a regular basis that I think is not adequately appreciated for its design qualities.

2. D-For-Div

In this exercise, I recreated Peter Halley, Laws of Rock, 2008, Piet Mondrian, Composition A, 1923, and Fanny Sanin, Acrylic No.4, 1977. I learned how to make them interactive with a background-color change in response to the user's hover.

4. Single-Page-Scroll

In this project, I created a single-page scrolling website that communicates a narrative of Vivienne Westwood. My user experience goal was to introduce the full story of Vivienne Westwood engagingly through the use of interactive elements. When people think of Vivienne Westwood, they only have the popular image of the Vivienne Westwood brand. Many people are only aware of the current Vivienne Westwood brand, therefore, my single-page scrolling aims to explore the foundational years that have shaped the Vivienne Westwood brand today. It includes the biography of Vivienne Westwood, the birth of punk fashion after meeting Malcolm McLaren, Vivienne Westwood’s Influence on Nana, the Vivienne Westwood brand today, its signature design elements, and the continuation of the Vivienne Westwood brand after her passing in 2022.

5. Image Essay Gallery

In this project, I gathered 21 images as a set that evokes a series of emotions in the viewer. I displayed the images of nightlife in the cities to evoke a sense of aliveness and excitement. Additionally, these images personally evoke me a sense of nostalgia because I grew up in Korea and I miss these fun nightlife experiences.
